Diamond Stars Dance Team

The Diamond Stars were created on June 4, 2006 by Linda Sato and Terri Laczko in hopes of providing young girls a dance team that prepares them for High School Drill Team and incorporates the beauty and glory of The Lord.  The Diamond Stars are composed of 6^th-9^th grade girls in the North Austin area who have a strong desire to learn and grow as a dancer. 

Our mission is to teach good dance technique along with teambuilding skills in order to prepare young girls for high school dance team, all while maintaining and developing humility and poise as young ladies in the eyes of God. 

The Diamond Stars compete and perform at several events throughout the year and have been recognized as having Outstanding Showmanship and Outstanding Choreography.  In addition, the Diamond Stars consistently placed 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd with their Jazz, Pom and Prop routines in 2009-2010.  The girls are under the direction of Shannon Striednig and Shannon Barba, aka "The Shannons".
